We’re looking for a postdoctoral researcher and a research technician to join our lab at UIC College of Medicine. Our work focuses on understanding how neuromodulatory systems like dopamine, endocannabinoids or oxytocin influence motivated behavior, neurodevelopment, and relapse. We use in vivo electrophysiology, fiber photometry, optogenetics, and behavioral models, with a strong emphasis on data-driven computational tools.
The ideal candidate has experience with systems neuroscience techniques (or a strong desire to learn them), experience conducting behavioral studies with rodents, and a collaborative mindset. Experience with stereotaxic surgical procedures is welcomed but not required. You’ll be encouraged to develop your own ideas and have support in shaping a path toward independence.
